Add New List Entries


Click the "Add List Item" button on the tab. The form will be cleared, and the list item will be added by Odyssey. This entry method is good for adding a few list entries. If you have to add multiple, use the Import Entries option.




Import Entries

Click the Import Entries tab. Import New List Entries and Update Existing Entries will be your two choices. If you'd like to add new list entries to be appended to the current list, select Import New List Entries. Odyssey will generate an import sheet with all associated fields. To update existing entries, select Update Existing List Entries


On the pencil icon, click. When you do this step in Odyssey for the first time, it will ask you to grant access to your Google account because the import procedure makes use of Google Sheets. You won't need to complete the permission process again in Odyssey once you've finished it.



With this, a Google sheet will open in a new tab. Into this sheet, type or copy your information.



When you have finished entering the list entries into the Google sheet, go back to the Odyssey import page and press the upload button. You will be prompted in a dialog box to confirm your readiness to import your metadata. To import the file's metadata, select this option.




A thumbs up icon signifying a successful metadata import will show once you have finished uploading the metadata for your list. Click the "Continue to the next stage" button in the top right corner when you see this.




You will have the chance to amend any mistakes, if there are any, here.

You will then have the choice to upload any digital assets linked to list items.

In the upper right corner, select "Next" if you don't need to submit any digital materials. You'll be taken to the page for pending imports.
