For metadata fields with numerous possible values, data Lists offer standardised choices. A list's related metadata field may only contain material that is either already on the list or has been added to it. This makes it possible to standardize the spelling and formatting of metadata, which is particularly helpful when information is provided by several people. 


The table renders a sample table of lists in the List view, along with four action icons. You can view each item in a given list individually by clicking the contents icon. To edit the list directly, click the pencil icon. You may view every import made on a useful list by clicking the import history icon. When you click the trash can icon, a confirmation prompt appears.

Template Usage


When a user click's the template use icon, an overlay appears that displays all of the templates that are currently used on the list. 


Each template is shown as a text link that, when clicked, takes the user to the template index-fields where the list source was used.




Content Icon (List Entries)


You are directed to the index page of the content by clicking the content icon. You can see and arrange list items by order, item name, date created, and date edited in the table that displays list items along with extra tabs for Entries, Add Entries, and Import Entries. In addition, there are four action icons: edit, import history, digital assets, and delete.

Edit Icon


You can edit the list itself by clicking the pencil icon from the List view. By entering text in the appropriate fields, you may change the list's Name and Description. There are three visibility settings available for a certain list: Open, Public, and Restricted. There are also the share with groups and allow duplicate names when importing options.



  • An object or asset can be made Open by allowing public searching and viewing. A signed API request is not necessary.

  • Public signifies that the object or asset can only be seen inside of Odyssey or by sending a valid request.

  • When something is Restricted, it can only be accessed within Odyssey. Neither a signed API request nor the public website will display it.


Import History Icon


When you click the Import History icon, a window appears that displays the most recent history of a useful list.
